International Consultant Economist (IMF)

Description

The IMF - Singapore Regional Training Institute (STI), an affiliate of the IMF Institute in Washington, D.C., is seeking an International Consultant Economist for its office in Singapore.
The STI is a joint venture of the IMF and the Government of Singapore. It provides training through courses, seminars, and workshops on macroeconomic and financial management to government officials from 37 countries, mainly in the Asia-Pacific Region.
Duties: The selected candidate will be expected to lecture in courses, lead workshop groups, and contribute to the development of course materials. Research on macroeconomic and financial policy issues is encouraged, and there are opportunities to interact with universities, research institutes, and think tanks in the region.

Qualifications

Applicants should have a Ph.D. in economics or finance and a strong background in macroeconomics, with a special interest in financial sector issues, public finance, or monetary and exchange rate policies. Excellent teaching and communication skills in English are essential.
A competitive market salary is offered and, for non-residents of Singapore, relocation and living allowances are provided.
