Salary: $90,000 p.a. (plus superannuation and salary packaging)

With a commitment to, and understanding of, feminism in practice, the Director of ProgramsWDA at I will lead a multi-faceted team across a spectrum of project partnerships, research collaborations, technical and advisory services and advocacy alliances that promote gender equality and gender justice. Guided by the organisation’s overall Strategic Plan, the Director of Programs is expected to ensure program strategy and development directly responds to IWDA’s Thematic priorities and Country Strategic Plans. Supervising a team of program managers and advisers, the Director will lead the Programs Team in systematic approaches to program development and investment, financial planning, advocacy, monitoring, evaluation and learning. A high degree of accountability and transparency is required to the IWDA Board and IWDA’s donors.
This position requires a highly articulate and organised individual, with excellent inter-personal skills and a proven ability to manage staff and multicultural teams. As a member of IWDA’s leadership team, the Director of Programs will ensure IWDA’s experience and capacities are translated into a program strategy that brings sustainability and advances partnership and women’s empowerment.
