Job: Program Manager, Kids' Movement

Location: Location Open, preference given to New York City, NY, Portland, OR, Washington, DC or Little Rock, AR
Overview of the Position:  The Program Manager will be an integral member of the Kids’ Movement team working to develop, document, implement and improve program processes and tools that further the goals and work plans of the Kids’ Movement. The Program Manager will develop new and enhance existing systems and procedures, and will be responsible for their roll out, utilization and reporting across the Kids’ Movement and in collaboration with other Alliance initiatives and departments. This position reports to the Kids’ Movement Associate Director for Field Operations.
It is the goal of the Alliance to fill employment vacancies with the most qualified applicants, whether recruiting internally or externally. Strong consideration will be given to qualified internal candidates. All internal and external candidates must comply with application requirements. 
Responsibilities: 
  • Liaise with other Kids’ Movement team members and Alliance initiatives to coordinate initiative strategies.
  • Develop and implement team processes and tools for program implementation  and reporting purposes within and outside the team.
  • Report on utilization of program processes and tools, including technologies such as webinars, databases, web portals, etc.
  • Monitor incoming online and phone communications and route and follow up with internal and external parties appropriately.
  • Lead and manage planning and implementation for initiative conferences and meetings. 
  • Manage and track agreements with external parties for use and support of Kids’ Movement programs, activities and resources.
  • Coordinate and monitor distribution of Kids’ Movement materials internally and externally.
  • Establish and maintain processes and systems for measuring the reach and impact of the Kids’ Movement.
  • Ensure data is collected and documented to support overall evaluation goals and compliance needs.
  • Analyze, synthesize and effectively present reach, impact and process results.
  • Plan and manage internal program communications and ensure awareness of initiative activities, successes and key milestones.
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management or project coordination.
  • Holds the belief that young people are critical to building and strengthening communities.
  • Demonstrates a genuine interest and commitment to making kids’ lifestyles healthier.
  • Highly organized, detail orientated and able to lead and manage several projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Exhibits skills to build and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Enjoys working collaboratively and has personal style to work collegially with all types of individuals.
  • Demonstrates sensitivity, diplomacy and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates a high degree of professionalism, creativity and integrity.
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial and flexible, willing to roll-up his/her sleeves to do whatever is necessary to get the job done.
  • Inquisitive nature and excellent active listening skills.
